Ghanima Uriza from Blue Blood SL Fashion has a new dress. The Analu dress is available in 5 colours with with three different skirts, gloves, stockings, collar and a cropped jacket. With so many options, I haven’t accessorize much. I am wearing one of the latest sets by Jori Watler from alaMood who has been creating such pretties (pun intended!). On my feet, the latest shoes from Maitreya. To complete the look, the Sable hairstyle from TRUTH seemed the perfect choice.

As always the fat pack is 50% off to group members (wear your group tag) and the group only colour is Black! Both can be found in the Group only section of the mainstore.

review | Moonshine and FuseMelon

Posted on October 14, 2009 at 18:51 by Ana Lutetia | 7 Comments

Shelly Toonie from Moonshine has such amazing stuff over at her store. I’ve paired some of the latest with not so new stuff for this post. So, you will see me wearing: Demi Jacket with the Diamant Tank in the first pic and Patchwork Top with Zip Suede in the second.
FuseMelon is the newish fashion store by Aemilia Case – who most might remember as the hair goddess from Philotic Energy. Aemilia has challenged designing and now is into creating clothing but still has hair with new textures and accessories. In the accessories, I recommend you check the bags. The new hair textures tones are the love! I heart them all with a passion! I have always liked the way Aemilia twists and turns prims to make hair but I the latest textures from PE weren’t my favourites. These ones are my favourite hair tones by Aems! And there’s isn’t only one single colour I like; I like most of the red tones of the FuseMelon hair. In the pics, I am wearing Seeking Me in Burgandy and City Life in Port. Oh… and be sure to check the eyes! I have been wearing them since they first came out.

review | Zaara : Larin skirts and Mishti tanks

Posted on October 14, 2009 at 1:40 by Ana Lutetia | 2 Comments

The über talented Zaara Kohime from Zaara has released high-waisted asymmetrical skirts and frilled tank tops. As usual, they are impeccably drawn and outstanding. The Larin skirts are available in classic neutrals, strong solid colors with a hint of plaid, art prints mixed with bright splashes of color. The Mishti tanks are available as singles in 16 colours and in four packs of colours with all layers and sculpted prim tie ups.
Kavar Cleanslate over at Exile does continue to create stupendous hairdos. In the latest range of textures he has I am particularly fond of the auburn tone. The new hairstyles are wild!

Imprudence viewer

Posted on October 13, 2009 at 1:04 by Ana Lutetia | 6 Comments

I have been meaning to do a post about Imprudence almost since it was released. I have been blogging about it here and there but haven’t done a post solely about it yet. I have blog previously about the flexible sculpties and the worn tab but I haven’t blog about all of the new features they added.
First of all, I am flattered they’ve included my WindLight presets in the viewer. Like most viewers, it recognized my IP address and presented the viewer in Portuguese. You can start by downloading it in the Imprudence blog and you can read the Imprudence Manifesto here.

The profiles were improved.

My beloved worn tab.

Imprudence was the first viewer to have filters in inventory.

It’s possible to do a search for a creators name to find their stuff.

The sky settings placed there are extremely handy.

review | Musashi-Do ~ Diamonds on Me and Waving Heart

Posted on October 12, 2009 at 1:24 by Ana Lutetia | 2 Comments

Shiryu Musashi is the talented designer over at Musashi-Do that since 2004 has been creating amazing clothes and has seen SL fashion scene grow into what is today. In my early SL days, I used to recommend his suits to every male friend that asked where to buy a nice suit. But Shiryu Musashi was away for some time and now returned with new ideas to translate into SL fashion.
His latest female releases are these amazing two mini-dresses: Diamonds on Me and Waving Heart. They are transferable and are available in 5 colour combinations.

Those two dresses are the embodiment of some of the concepts i’m planning to bring in Second Life from my experience at the academy I attended. One of the most fun, interesting and challenging things I learned has been to hand paint patterns in Illustrator, and how to create color variations of them.
Unfortunately the use of patterns in Second Life is rare, because designers using them are forced to face a hell on earth of seam-matching expecially on the waist area. Moreover, most of the patterns we see are some what photosourced, because designing patterns from scratch isn’t easy.
