Second Life name: Carolin Bonetto
Rez Date: 2/9/2007

1 – How did you discover Second Life and what made you create an account?
A friend of mine told me about Second Life. I was curious about an online game where you can meet people from all over the world.

2 – How did you come up with your Second Life name?
My first name is the name of a very close RL friend; I loved always the name. MY SL last name is similar to my RL last name.

3 – Lots of people only stay in SL for a week or a month after creating an account. What made you stay and what motivates you to log back in?
I met a lot people when I first started SL. A few of them are still good friends. I had a lot of fun with them, so I stayed.

4 – What have you been doing in SL? Tell us your story: what have you been up to or what have you created.
The first year I met friends or listened to muisc at live concerts. Then I started to build, just for fun at first. Then some friends encouraged me to open a shop and sell the jewelry that I built. I have slowly been adding new creations over time.

5 – Have you found, developed or improved any skills because of SL?
Yes, definitely. I speak English better (my native language is German). I learned to build and work with textures. I want to continue to improve my building skills.

6 – Could you share a funny or awkward story that happened to you in SL?
I was clowning around with my friend Elise and we tried to climb a building during a live concert. But I failed and fell down, directly on the stage in front of the singer! lol

7 – What would you change or improve in Second Life?
SL lag-free!

8 – Can you share your current and/or future projects for SL?
My future projects are building more jewelry. I want to make more projects with my friend Zoey (she owns paper.doll). Our last project was a christmas hunt.

9 – Have you ever had any issues whatsoever within Second Life? If so, how did you report them and was the feedback positive?
No important issues.

10 – Is Second Life merely an online game or do you consider it more of a metaverse or a virtual world?
A virtual world, with real people and real emotions behind the avatars.

11 – Imagine a new resident asks for your help. What would do? What would you tell him/her?
Depends what kind of help he/she needs. Maybe I would give her/him LM’s for interesting places or shops.

12 – How would you describe yourself in one word?
nice
