1 – How did you discover Second Life and what made you create an account?
I had heard about Second Life from other players in a game I was involved in at the time, and one night while that game was down for maintence a friend kidnapped me and my bestfriend, and had us make an account and dragged us around Second Life.
Ulitmately she left, but I couldn’t pull myself away.

2 – How did you come up with your Second Life name?
I’ve had the name “Ravenlynn” for a very very long time,so long in fact I could type it in google, and I was the only one who would pop up lol. Not the case anymore I’m afraid.
Raven in honor of all the folklore and history that I’ve always been fasinated with that surrounds the bird, and well Lynn is a part of my rl name.

3 – Lots of people only stay inSL for a week or a month after creating an account. What made you stay and what motivates you to log back in?
The creating aspect of SecondLife,I’ve developed content for several online games, and Second Life hands down gives the creators the most freedom.I enjoyed how close to running a real life bussiness it was. You need to be the designer, the model, the pr ,the photographer,I fell in love with that.It was and still is a wonderful experience.

4 – What have you been doing in SL? Tell us your story: what have you been up to or what have you created.
Oh my gosh what have I not lol, I love to dabble,I have over 6 different design houses under my main label.
All different styles, covering clothing, accessories, sometimes the occasional furniture or poses.
They are my center of attention, Im always trying to improve, offer new things I think my customers will like. And of course the big sim events,to make sure they know how much their support is appreciated.
But more importantly I like getting involved in the fundraisers that we are able to do in Second Life to
help support the causes we hold important.
Right now we are planning the kick off of Toys for Tots in the LVS sim for the 5th year in a row.
Hoping it’ll be the biggest one we’ve had. *fingers crossed*

5 – Have you found, developed or improved any skills because of SL?
Yes I think you can’t help but improve, the talent in Second Life is so diverse and theres just so much of it.
You have to constantly be polishing your skills if you want to be successful.
But besides the obvious designing skills,it would have to be the interaction with people.I am a extremly shy person in rl,and being in SL pushes me to have to stand out there and be that PR person.
It’s not a choice, it’s part of your bussiness, you have to do it lol.

6 – Could you share a funny or awkward story that happened to you inSL?
The most awkward parts of my SL had to be when I was a guinea pig for a fellow designer.
The “younger” years of my SL life when I wasnt working were being spent being shot at, catapolted, blown up and to my horror leg humped lol.
And of course the top, and occassionally still happens, is while working, the sim your in goes down and you have to log back in. And you find yourself naked in another sim in the middle of a group of ppl..*hangs head*

7 – What would you change or improve in Second Life?
There’s so many lil things I’d love to see at a designers level.
A system skirt that doesnt gap at the waist, more layers to work with when designing, tattoo layer etc.
But most of all..and firstly, just fix all the bugs lol.

8 – Can you share your current and/or future projects for SL?
Future projects is of course the Toys for Tots.
Im in a very formal ball room state of mind right now, so a huge release of formal wear for men and women is in the wings.
Especially with Christmas not that far away.
Thats what’s on my draft board right now.
Formal Formal Formal!
But I would love to make my way into help designing jewelry and shoes.
It would have to be a joint venture lol.

9 – Have you ever had any issues whatsoever within Second Life? If so, how did you reported and was the feedback positive?
Yes,I’ve had the occassional “issue” on a personal level. But it was simply taken care, reported it, and muted the issue.
Like I’ve told those few people who know me on a very intimate level.
I don’t have time for nonsense, and drama. And I won’t let it waste my time, my time is precious.
And thats ,that.
As far as on a SL level taking care of issues.Never heard back from anyone, sometimes the best thing in that aspect,is do what they tell you and just hit that shiny mute button.

10 – Is Second Life merely an online game or do you consider it more of a metaverse or a virtual world?
Its an extension of my world,it just enables me to do things I wouldnt be able to do in my rl because
of money restrainments, locations, or just the fact of being known.
SL always makes me think of when we were lil and they ask you..ok what do you want to be when you grow up?
Famous Fashion Designer, owner of a magazine…etc etc..
In SL, you can make those dreams that you didn’t think possiable, happen.
It’s all up to how much work and dedication you want to put into it.

11 – Imagine a new resident asks for your help. What would do? What would you tell him/her?
Have paitence,I would help them to best of my ability.
I think part of what turns ppl off of SL when they first come in is they try
to do everything at one time.
They want it all to be perfect.
sL has a bit of a learning curve, you have to get the hang of it first, like riding a bike, before
you can really just go all out and enjoy yourself.

12 – How would you describe yourself in one word?
diligent
