what is wrong with pictures inSL?
Since last night I simply can’t resize the pictures in the snapshot menu. I have tried several viewers, I have manually cleared cache and I even reinstall the viewer but for some weird reason this keeps happening:
I always use the snapshot menu so I can resize the pictures:
However, I can’t no longer take pictures in a size bigger than 1280 width because SL doesn’t let me:
The first menu shows the default settings for .png images; I type 3000 in width and usually and I place my mouse in the height box it would automatically change to correspondent size for 3000 width (which is 2268). Now, as soon as I hit the height box the width box goes back to the default size (1280) and I end up with 1280×968 images in my computer.
Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this?
I can stick to 1280×968 images but they are too small. The GreenLife Emerald viewer is was the only viewer where I didn’t have any SL bugs. In Snowglobe viewer I have the disappearing prims issue (in necklaces) and no worn tab. In Imprudence viewer or Rainbow viewer I have the alpha issue (in eyelashes). And the official viewers don’t have the worn tab…
Maybe it’s time to check other alternate viewers or even Kristens viewer. *sigh*

Try the Gemini viewer, it has all the perks of Emerald and some more.

The Gemini viewer is, nowadays, the GreenLife Emerald Viewer which is the one I use more often.

Ana, I found I couldn’t set my parameters past screen size for a long time, until I noticed the “LastSnapshotToDiskHeight” and “LastSnapshotToDiskWidth” settings in the debug menu. [This is in the Advanced Menu. To get it to show, type Control+Alt+D. Then look down near the bottom of the menu and you will see Debug Settings. Hit the dropdown menu in the Debug Settings box and scroll down the alphabetical list.] I entered values picked out of the air essentially, but about 3 times my screen resolution there. Then the next time I went to take a snapshot I was able to change the snapshot size. How and why this worked for me and whether it was coincidence, I don\’t know. But it’s worth a try…good luck!

I have a different problem. Everything is great as long as I use “Take Snapshot”, but when I choose “Snapshot to Disk” the image is off-center. My avatar’s shirt, for example, might be in the middle of the viewer, but in the snapshot it’s moved up to the top of the screen, and usually cut in half!
Oh my… I never heard of that bug before!
S18 from Kirsten has worn tab, also new emerald, not sure who playing with snowglobe UI except me, i made kinda fork, but for mac
P.S. i plurked you link on emerald blog, there was some about crashes on windows
P.P.S. seems it more stable now, after things making clean, releasing in rush was fun, but kinda silly. you can bug LordGregGreg Back in sl, lordgreggreg@gmail.com, lordggreggreg on skype, he made windows build.

My Debug Settings following Lisa’s tip:
IT’S SOLVED!! KL S18 doesn’t show any issues.
I know it is a tad too late to answer, but I also had problems when resizing snapshots, until I decided to multiply the “natural” resolution that showed by two, three, or so.
For example, if you hadn’t already fixed everything by changing to to S18, you should be able to resize the 1280×968 resolution you mentioned to 2560×1936 (x2) or 3840×2904 (x3) without problems.
I am doing great on Emerald!
