Australia is one of the countries I would love to visit even thought it is in the other side of the world for me.

curfew? A developed country with curfew?
Going out clubbing, for me, means hopping for club to club until 6am and then go eat breakfast with the gang. This could mean that the night would only end at midday...

It is quite disturbing indeed, considering the number of people that live from SL or are handicapped and use SL as an outlet to socialize. As far as Australia is concerned - it is actually quite good country apart from politicians lol. In one of our states local government has managed to impose curfew after 3am for all clubs. Basically if you are outside under curfew you would not be able to enter the venue and would have to go home. So much for club hopping not that it impacts me much. I just think these small steps make us more closer to China than USA - of wait we are!

People who are motivated by religion are living in the Middle ages, and want the rest of us to join them. Remember, they are "saving" us.

It is sad indeed... What shocks me the most is reading that in the 21st century, there are develop countries acting like they were in the Middle Age and not letting people access information freely.

The Australian Govt has a very prudish attitude, and has been trying to censor the internet since at least 1999, when I worked in an ISP.

Oddly enough, it\'s not since I lived in the UK that I could see how backwards some of the Australian population really was in it\'s attitude to sex/education/politics. Rather sad really.

But in our last election I suspect most of the votors didn\'t realize they either had to vote for a Right wing Christian, or a Left wing Christian, both of whom would like to direct how the population thinks, acts and behaves.

This still has to go before the Upper and Lower houses of Parliament and get the support of independants. The Family First party wants this to pass for their evangelical agenda, but other indepentants are holding back.

I suspect there will be quite a lot of low level civil disobediance and hackaism if this thing goes ahead.
