Deliverator

The Deliverator is, finally, ready and Jacek Antonelli added a few more options like the possibility of sending any item. It is not yet possible to send multiple items due to a SL issue but if you want to see this fixed vote at jira SVC-868. So, imagine you want to throw a party and need to send lots of invitations. What you needed to do was drop the invitations one by one. With the Deliverator, that’s history! You will simply need to fill a notecard with the names and drop the invitation in the contents tab and then click the wooden box.
You can find the complete info on Jacek Antonelli blog or simply TP to Cuddlefish Junction and grab it.

What is this marvelous contraption?

The Deliverator is a scripted object that will help you deliver an item to lots of people with very little fuss.

* Easy, guided set-up. Give it the item, give it the names, and off it goes.
* No keys required. Names are enough for the Deliverator to do its job. No need to look up everybody’s UUIDs or make them touch some silly prim.
* Low maintenance. Start it running and get on with your life. The Deliverator will IM you when it’s done, and let you know if there’s anything you should be aware of.
* Reliable. In the unlikely event that the Deliverator can’t find somebody on your list, it will remember their name and tell you at the end, so you can be sure no one gets left out.
* Unlimited delivery. The Deliverator can be used as many times as you want, and it can deliver to as many people as you can fit in a notecard.

Well, it sounds like a great idea if used wisely, but I can see this being used to ~spam~ people with notecards (or whatever)selling all sorts of random crap. If you don’t have to give it permission to send you something, which it sounds as if you don’t – it is gonna be a huge problem. So now, not only do we have to deal with spammed group invites, and group IMs, now we can look forward to spammed notecards or items. Hey, thanks Jacek!

Like you said, Sunday, if used wisely. If you read Jacek notes about Deliverator we will see that she thought about that issue.
